Safety is Good
It is important to emphasise that microwaves are no harmful ionising type of radiation, like for instance X-rays.

Microwaves can cause burns in the same way as if you put a hand on a hot plate of a stove.

.
In the microwave oven the heat is dispersed on a volume instead of a surface, as is the case of a hot plate. Because of that the heat is not as concentrated and before injury has been caused you have time to pull your hand back.

Gisp's designs eliminate the risk of burns. In our driers and ovens an aluminium cover effectively encloses the microwaves, which is a screening material. In addition, on commissioning all of Gisip's products are tested by independent testing institutions.

Careful with the Environment
To dry or heat objects by means of microwaves is a method that is very careful with the ambient environment. As opposed to heating with oil and LP gas, no harmful exhausts or carbon dioxide, which contribute to the greenhouse effect, are produced.

In addition, drying and heating with microwaves is a very efficient form of energy, with high coefficient of utilisation. As microwaves work on depth and are active through the whole material at the same time, the energy is used in the most efficient way possible.
